Maitai Polynesia Hotel is a well-established hotel managed by a division of the Pacific Beachcomber Group. There are three Maitai hotel locations all together, the other two are in Huahine and Rangiroa.

Maitai Polynesia is located near Matira Point, which is a public beach open to all guests. This is also in close proximity to shops and restaurants around Vaitape.

Maitai Polynesia is a 10 minute walk to Matira Point, a 10 minute car ride to downtown Vaitape, and a 25 minute boat ride to the airport.

I chose Maitai Polynesia because of the airplane ticket + hotel bundle. When I first saw an over water bungalow my jaw dropped. I couldn’t even imagine how luxurious and enjoyable staying in one could be. I definitely look forward to staying a few nights in one.
